About Dr. Shannon Sarrasin, ND, BSc
Compassionate Care
For nearly 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping women understand their bodies, restore balance, and feel deeply supported in their health. At the heart of my work is a steady belief in the body’s ability to heal when we listen closely, address root causes, and honour the whole person—body and mind.
My approach is compassionate and collaborative. I bring a calm, grounded presence to each appointment and take time to learn what matters most to you – your goals, experiences, and how your symptoms fit into the larger picture of your wellbeing. Treatments are nourishing and restorative, guided by both evidence-based and traditional naturopathic care.
Special Focus
Whether you are experiencing burnout, hormone changes, gut symptoms, food reactions, inflammation or mood concerns – I help you understand what your body is communicating and how these pieces connect. I love guiding patients through layered health concerns and finding natural, effective treatments that bring relief, resilience, and a sense of wellbeing.
I am passionate about supporting women through the transitions that shape their lives— including fertility, pregnancy, perimenopause, and menopause. These seasons of life can be complex and having an experienced guide can bring clarity and confidence.
I have advanced training in Menopausal Hormone Therapy and provide evidence-informed support for women in menopause. I am an advocate for women in midlife to optimize metabolic and cardiovascular health, bone strength, and promote long-term vitality and prevention.
My Story
My own experiences with fertility challenges, pregnancy, and the birth of my two children have profoundly shaped the way I support new and growing families. These chapters of my life prepared me to walk alongside mothers as they navigate the physical, emotional, and hormonal shifts of their reproductive years. I understand firsthand how much women carry—caring for little ones while balancing family, work, and their own wellbeing.
Now, with my children nearly grown, I have arrived on the other side of menopause. This transition touched every part of me—mind, body, and spirit—and deepened my understanding of what women move through during this powerful stage of life. These experiences allow me to meet women with empathy and a genuine understanding of what their bodies and hearts are navigating.

I am grateful to have been guided by many remarkable teachers throughout my journey, including Dr. Carlson Rink, ND, RM, and the late Dr. Mary Bove, ND—beloved herbalist and midwife—whose wisdom and teachings continue to inspire my work.
Outside of the clinic, I love spending time with my family and am inspired by the beauty and rhythm of nature. My passions include gardening and creative pursuits such as weaving and singing in a community choir. I also maintain a regular practice of yoga and meditation, which helps me stay grounded, present, and centred—qualities I bring with me into my work with patients.
